Business Intelligence Analyst - Analytics Department

Under minimal supervision: works closely with the BI Architect to develop and implement reporting via the data warehouse.  Assists with design, development, testing, maintenance and support of enterprise-wide data analytics and reporting solutions. Responsible for project deliverables consistent with the goals and objectives of the project, in regards to innovative solutions, value management, cost effectiveness, functional efficiency, and member satisfaction.  This includes working closely with the business functional areas, external members and vendors in defining systems/project priorities, scope, approach, resource requirements and timing deliverables. 

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS, Economics or related discipline required.  Masters degree preferable.  Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite tools.  Proficiency in SQL database queries and T-SQL a must. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2/2012 required.  Experience working with large data sets required.  Experience with ETL application, data modeling and statistical packages required. Familiarity with relational database concepts and data warehouse fundamentals necessary.  Object-oriented programming using Mircosoft.NET C# and/or VB.NET a plus.  Working knowledge of SharePoint and Crystal Reports and previous data mining experience a plus.  Must be capable of managing several tasks simultaneously.  Eager to learn, enthusiastic, motivated and a self-starter.  Must be an analytical thinker and problem solver as well as possess and display effective organizational and communication skills.  Accuracy and advanced knowledge of statistical techniques required.  Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under deadline with minimal supervision required. Sitting, typing and computer monitor viewing for extended periods is required. Occasional lifting up to 40 pounds. Must be able to read and speak English fluently.  Must be able to see.  Must be able to hear and use a telephone.  Must be able to type and perform repetitive key strokes.
